Jon Tice – Executive Chef

I have been cooking for over 20 years. My interest in cooking began with my Dad, as a child. He inspired a sense of adventure in his home cooking and I admired that so much, that I went on to graduate from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY in 2002.
Originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania I relocated to Southern California in 2003. Since then I have gone on to receive my certification as a Chef de Cuisine, receive my first level Sommelier and cook at some of the best restaurants in Orange County. In 2011, I moved back to Philadelphia to be closer to family, where I landed a job with Iron Chef Jose Garces. After only a few short months, Jose asked if I would run two of his restaurants (Tinto & El Jefe) inside the Hotel Saguaro in Palm Springs. Please come in to visit me and taste the flavors of the Basque region of Spain and authentic Mexican street food.
I enjoy cooking with every ounce of my being. It’s a deep love and connection I have with fresh produce, meats, spices and flavors. It delights me to see my friends, family and customers enjoying my food.
